About me

Przemysław Ciemniejewski DJ / MC

Once upon a time, a distinguished Polish poet posed to himself an exceedingly significant question: “What do I love to do in life?” Then, he began to pursue it passionately.

When I was 12 years old, I, too, pondered the existential question posed by Mr. Laska in the movie “Boys Don't Cry”: back then, the answer I found was to quit elementary school and spend my days playing computer games. Likely, my response was influenced by my youthful age. Fortunately, I revisited that question as an adult, a graduate of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan, majoring in Philosophy - Public Life. Today, I know I want to do precisely what I'm best at - integrating and entertaining people, leading them to the peak of happiness as they carefree jump to the rhythm of their favorite hits. However, not just any opportunity will do. I turn down birthday parties, name day celebrations, New Year's Eves, and proms, because only wedding receptions unite all guests in celebrating something as extraordinary as the union of two individuals for life. It's weddings that cast a magical aura of love around them, and for the organizers, they constitute the most important day of their lives. Being a part of that is something I consider to be a tremendous privilege. I love my job, and I wouldn't trade it for anything.

My story

How I became a DJ

When people came and said:

“Przemo, do weddings!”

I replied:

“Alright, but I have a few conditions: I don't want to play disco polo music, I don't want to lead embarrassing games, I don't want colorful dots on the dance floor, and overall, it cannot look like a village harvest festival at the firehouse.”

And they were like:

“Przemo, we know you're not like that. Play music that's true to you. There's so much good music that you can choose individually for each wedding. Use only atmospheric lamps with white, warm light. Lead games that will integrate and amuse the guests, but won't offend anyone. Laugh with them, not at them. And remember, every wedding has its own pace. Relax, observe the guests, and adjust to their needs.”

And I was like:

“Great! I can be such a DJ”

And so I am :)

My passion

And what besides weddings? Board games!

I have been passionate about board games for many years. I played so much that I eventually had to start talking about it to the world, which is why I run a channel on YouTube about it.
